Objective To assess the application effect of the multi-enzyme cleaning agent in the cleaning of electronic nasopharyngeal endoscopes,compare the disparity in cleaning quality between it and the conventional cleaning agent,and provide a scientific basis for selecting the appropriate cleaning solution.Methods Eight hundred and thirty-two cases of electronic nasopharyngeal endoscopies utilized in our hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were randomly divided into a control group(conventional lotion,416 cases)and an observation group(multi-enzyme detergent,416 cases).After cleaning,visual methods,wiping methods,Jelly-paper test methods,and protein residue test methods were employed to evaluate the cleaning effect,and the cleaning qualification rates of the two groups were compared.The statistical indicators encompassed the qualified rate of cleaning and the removal effect of various residues,and x2-test analyses were conducted.Results The observation group outperformed the control group in all cleaning indicators.The visual method revealed that the cleaning qualification rate in the observation group was 95.7%(398/416),which was higher than that in the control group 92.3%(384/416),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the wiping method,the pass rate was 94.2%(391/416)in the observation group and 87.7%(365/416)in the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).The results of the Jelly-paper test demonstrated that the pass rate was 92.9%(387/416)in the observation group and 86.2%(358/416)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the protein residue test,the pass rate of the observation group was 92.7%(385/416),which was higher than that of the control group 89.6%(373/416),and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The multi-enzyme cleaning agent exhibited significantly higher cleaning efficiency and cleaning qualification rate in the cleaning of electronic nasopharyngeal endoscopes,particularly in the removal of blood stains,proteins,and other organic pollutants.This cleaning agent provides strong support for enhancing the cleaning quality of medical devices and reducing the risk of infection.However,the cost and operational complexity should be comprehensively considered in clinical applications.
