Optimization of Heat Treatment Process for Ultra Low Carbon Bainitic Steel Bends
By using orthogonal test with four factors and three levels,microstructure analysis,mechanical property tests,and other methods,the microstructure and properties of ultra-low carbon bainitic steel under different Nb element contents and heat treatment processes were studied.The results showed that to achieve the optimal yield strength and tensile strength of ultra-low carbon bainitic steel,the Nb element content of 0.058%or 0.094%should be selected,the quenching temperature should be1 040℃,the quenching medium should be10%NaCl solution,and the tempering should be high temperature tempering.To achieve the optimal toughness of ultra-low carbon bainitic steel,the Nb element content should not exceed0.082%,the quenching temperature should be appropriately lowered,but the cooling rate should be increased,and the tempering still needs high temperature tempering.To achieve the optimal comprehensive performance of strength and toughness of ultra-low carbon bainitic steel,the Nb element content of 0.058%should be selected for ultra-low carbon bainitic steel pipe,the quenching medium should be 10%NaCl solution,the quenching temperature should be 940℃,and the tempering temperature should be 600℃.The results provide a reference for the practical production.
