Safety Assessment Method and Application of Gas Injection Process System After Improving Production Capacity for Underground Gas Storage
Under the premise of ensuring the safe operation of gas storage,maximizing the production volume of in-service gas storage is a fast,economical and effective way to increase the peak gas volume.This paper presents a method to evaluate the safety of gas injection process system after improving production capacity for underground gas storage.Key equipment and facilities such as pressure regulator,cy-clone separator,filter separator,compressor,process pipeline and gathering pipeline are identified for evaluation.The changes of key pa-rameters of each equipment and facilities after improving production capacity are analyzed as well as calculated and checked to evaluate whether all of them are within the loading range.Taking the domestic S gas storage as an application example,the adaptability of key equip-ment and facilities after the gas injection scale is increased from 1 200 × 104 Nm3/d to 1 250 × 104 Nm3/d is assessed.The results show that the built valve opening of S gas storage is in the range of 20%~85%.The maximum capacity of the two cyclone separators,two filtration separators,and eight electrically-driven reciprocating compressor units are all greater than 1 250 × 104 Nm3/d.The flow rate of the process pipeline inside the station and the gathering pipeline outside the station is less than 15 m/s.The pressure drop at the beginning and end points of the gathering pipeline is less than 1.5 MPa.The operating pressures of the equipment and facilities are less than the design pres-sure after the capacity is raised.This indicates that all key equipment and facilities of the built gas injection system of S gas storage are op-erating within the load range after improving production volume.S gas storage can pass the safety assessment of the operation with the in-crease in volume up to 1 250 × 104 Nm3/d.
