Study on Uniform Corrosion Behavior and Residual Life of CCUS Injection Production String
CO2 flooding technology can enhance oil recovery in low-permeability reservoir and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, the injection of CO2 causes increased corrosion rate of injection production strings, which reduces their residual strength and remaining life.Based on the uniform corrosion calculation model, this paper simulates the working conditions of different temperatures, different partial pressure, and different corrosion inhibitor injection in an oilfield, and studies the influence of CO2 on the corrosion behavior of injection and production well strings. The results show that the average corrosion rate of the injection well string increases with the increase of temperature and CO2 partial pressure, which causes reduction of remaining life. The injection of corrosion inhibitor effectively reduces the average corro-sion rate of the injection and production string, which slows down the reduction of the residual strength and remaining life. The experimental results support the safe and effective implementation of CO2 flooding technology.
