Role of lactylation in inflammatory reaction and carcinogenesis
Lactate is a crucial participant in glucose metabolism, engaging in glycolysis and serving as a substrate for energy synthesis, while also functioning as a signaling molecule.Furthermore, lactylation,an emerging post-translational modification,is regulated by lactate and glycolysis, and significantly contributes to a wide array of physiological and pathological phenomena. This paper reviews the research progress of intricate molecular mechanisms underlying protein lactylation and its consequential impact on inflammatory reaction and carcinogenesis.
