Survey of demand and willingness of hemodialysis nursing clinic establishment
Objective To investigate the demand and willingness of patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)for preliminary service,nursing skill,health education and visiting staff at nursing clinic,so as to provide reference for establishing hemodialysis nursing clinic.Methods Kano model was used to design a questionnaire for 272 patients undergoing MHD.The expected attribute,necessary attribute,charm attribute,non-difference attribute and reverse attribute were analyzed in MHD patients for each of 33 items of demand in 4 dimensions as basic service,nursing skill,health education and visiting staff.The Kano attribute with the largest frequency was selected as the attribute of this item,and the satisfaction coefficient and importance coefficient of each item were calculated.A quadrantal chart was drawn to analyze the satisfaction and importance of MHD patients on nursing clinic service items.A questionnaire was designed to investigate the willingness and frequency of MHD patients to visit the nursing clinic,and the rates of willing,indifferent and unwilling,and the frequencies of visits on-demand,once a month,once every 2 weeks,once a week,and once every 3 months were recorded.Results A total of 272 questionnaires were distributed and 255(93.75%)were returned.Excluding the invalid questionnaires,there were 243 valid questionnaires(95.29%).In 33 itmes for service demand,there were 16 items for charm attribute demand,17 items for expected attribute demand,and no item for necessary attribute,non-difference attribute or reverse attribute.The satisfaction coefficient of each item was greater than the importance coefficient.The quadrantal chart of the satisfaction and importance showed that there were 13 advantageous areas,8 areas for improvement,8 areas for secondary improvement,and 4 areas for maintaining quadrant.Totally 173 patients(71.19%)were willing to visit clinic,97 patients(39.92%)visited clinic on demand,58 patients(23.87%)visited clinic once a month.Conclusions MHD patients tend to have a strong desire for clinic nursing services,and the satisfaction value is greater than the importance value.The items of demand include nursing skill and health education.
