Clinical Observation on BODE Index During Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease by Adjuvant Treatment with Chinese Medicine Seal Pack
Objective:To observe the effect of chinese herbal medicine encapsulation assisted treatment of BODE index during acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:Sixty patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who were treated in the department of respiratory medicine of the second affiliated hospital of Jiangxi university of chinese medicine from January 2021 to March 2023 were selected for the clinical study,and they were divided into western medicine treatment group and chinese herbal medicine package treatment group according to the random number arrangement table.The patients in the western medicine treatment group were treated conventionally,and the patients in the chinese herbal medicine package treatment group were treated with the aid of chinese herbal medicine sealing package on the basis of the western medicine treatment group.The changes of pulmonary function index,6-minute walking distance(6MWD),dyspnea index,body mass index(BMI)and treatment effect of the two groups were observed and analyzed.The incidence of grade 0 dyspnea was higher in the chinese medicine packet treatment group compared with the western medicine treatment group,and the incidence of grade 3 and 4 dyspnea was significantly lower than that of the western medicine treatment group(P＜0.05);There was no significant difference in FVC%pred and FEV1/FVC indexes between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the indexes of lung function in the chinese herbal medicine package treatment group were higher than those in the western medicine treatment group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in 6MWD and BMI between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the 6MWD and BMI indexes of chinese herbal medicine package treatment group were higher than those of western medicine treatment group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of chinese herbal medicine package treatment group(93.33%)was higher than that of western medicine treatment group(66.67%)(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Chinese medicine encapsulation assisted treatment for patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can improve the total effective rate,improve lung function indexes,alleviate dyspnea,and increase 6MWD and BMI indexes.
