The Inhibitory Effects of Plantago Seed Combined with Ceftriaxone against β-Lactamase Neisseria Gonorrhoeae in Vitro
Objective To explore the inhibitory effects of ethanol extract of Plantago seed combined with ceftriaxone against production β-lactamase Neisseria gonorrhoeae in vitro. Methods The minimum inhibitory concentration of single drug and the partial inhibitory concentration index of the combination of ethanol extract of Plantago seed and ceftriaxone were tested by microbroth dilution method.Test the fractional inhibitory concentration index of the dual drug combination using the micro broth chessboard dilution method. Results The minimum inhibitory concentration of ceftriaxone against Neisseria gonorrhoeae with lactamase is 0.06 μg/mL.The minimum inhibitory concentration of ethanol extract of Plantago seed on production β-lactamase Neisseria gonorrhoeae is 128 μg/mL.The fractional inhibitory concentration index(FIC)of the combination of the two drugs is 1,indicating that the antibacterial activity was slightly increased when the two drugs were combined. Conclusions The ethanol extract of Plantago seed has good antibacterial activity against producing β-lactamase Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The antibacterial activity of ceftriaxone for producing β-lactamase Neisseria gonorrhoeae is relatively high in vitro.Ceftriaxone can be combined with the ethanol extract of Plantago seed to inhibit β-lactamase-producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae, but the effect is not significant.
