The content of < the old man and the sea > is very simple,but behind the simple surface,it contains the meaningful and profound theme.The novel tells the story of an exciting adventure,showing the human struggle for survival in nature,and it sets forth the spirit can not be defeated tough guy.This paper through different angles to analyze the story content.Interpretation of the novels from the deep level of modern spiritual and philosophical connotations in the West, so that the reader can better appreciate the charm literary fiction.
