Study on correlation between levels of peripheral blood inflammatory factors and clinical outcomes in patients with sepsis
Objective To explore the correlation between the levels of peripheral blood inflammatory factors and the clinical out-comes in patients with sepsis. Methods A retrospective selection was conducted on 120 sepsis patients who were hospitalized in the ICU of Qinzhou Second People's Hospital from October 1,2020 to September 30,2023 and received low-dose ketamine treatment.Clini-cal outcome data for 28 days were collected, and the patients were divided into a survival group(n =92)and a death group(n =28).Compare the clinical characteristics and levels of peripheral blood inflammatory factors between two groups of patients; And logistic re-gression was used to analyze the influencing factors of sepsis prognosis, and ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of pe-ripheral blood inflammatory factor levels on poor sepsis prognosis. Results There was no statistically significant difference in clinical characteristics such as age, gender, and APACHE-Ⅱ score between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of CRP,PCT,IL-6,absolute values of neutrophils,Normandy PLR in the survival group were lower than those in the death group, while the absolute values of monocytes were higher than those in the death group, with statistical significance(all P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that levels of PCT,IL-6,Normandy PLR were risk factors for clinical outcomes in sepsis patients(OR =2.340,1.024,1.155,1.016,all P<0.05);The ROC curve showed that the AUC of PCT,IL-6,NLR,and PLR predicting the clinical outcomes of sep-sis patients individually and in combination were 0.685,0.765,0.737,0.674,and 0.851,respectively,with certain predictive value.A-mong them, the combined predictive value was the highest(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of inflammatory factors in peripheral blood are closely related to the clinical outcomes of sepsis patients and have certain predictive value.
