Effect of comprehensive manual release under intravenous general anesthesia combined with Chinese medicine soak in the treatment of primary frozen shoulder
Objective To observe the curative effect of comprehensive manual release under intravenous general anesthesia com-bined with traditional Chinese medicine soak in the treatment of primary frozen shoulder(PFS).Methods 85 patients with PFS ad-mitted to our hospital from February 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group(n =43)and research group(n =42)according to random number table method. The control group was given comprehensive manual release treatment under intravenous general anesthesia, and the research group was given Chinese medicine soak on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, pain degree,[visual analogue scale(VAS)]and shoulder motion of the two groups were compared, and the shoul-der joint function of the two groups was assessed by the Shoulder Joint Scoring System(UCLA)of California University. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the study group at 1,2 and 3 months after treatment were lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance(all P<0.05).After3 months of treatment, shoulder extension, internal rotation, external rotation and UCLA score of the study group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(all P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive manual release under intravenous general anesthesia combined with soak is effective in the treatment of PFS,which can reduce pain,im-prove shoulder joint motion and improve shoulder joint function.
