Finite element study of corrugated steel web-square steel tube composite columns after fire exposure
The corrugated steel web-concrete filled square steel tube composite column is a new type of struc-tural form.In order to study the damage caused by high temperature to the exposed corrugated steel web and square steel tube during a fire,an ABAQUS finite element model was established to analyze the performance of the corrugated steel web-square steel tube composite column under the action of a full process of heating and cooling during a fire. The model also took into account the initial defects of the component and was verified for reliability using experimental data and results. The validated finite element model was used to conduct param-eter analysis on the main factors affecting the residual bearing capacity of the corrugated steel composite column after a fire. The results show that the heating time, sectional perimeter, steel content in section and load eccen-tricity are the main factors affecting the residual bearing capacity of the corrugated steel composite column after a fire. And the research results can provide references for the study of the fire resistance performance of the cor-rugated steel web-concrete filled square steel tube composite column.
