The Three-Dimensional Framework for the Construction of Humanistic Economic Theory in the New Era
Situated within the grand strategy of national rejuvenation and the profound changes unseen in a century, the construction of humanistic economics in the new era represents not only a critical reflection on the values of Western economics but also a self-conscious assessment of China's economic development practices. It also represents an academic ambition to build an autonomous system of economic knowledge with distinctive Chinese characteristics. As an innovative concept,New Era Humanistic Economics does not emerge in a"cultural desert"but is supported by a rich set of intellectual resources. In light of this, the present study attempts to synthesize and distill the ideological foundations of New Era Humanistic Economics in three dimensions:humanistic economic thought in classical Marxist texts, the humanistic essence and economic ethics embedded in China's cultural heritage, and the humanistic elements present in Western economic thought.By exploring these aspects, this study seeks to challenge the conventional orientation of the discipline dominated by Western economics, while enhancing the theoretical foundations and cultural richness of New Era Humanistic Economics, thereby fostering a well-rounded and deeply rooted theoretical foundation for its development.
