Stability Analysis of Existing Anchor Cable Removal and Widening Reconstruction of High Slope
In order to study the impact of the removal of existing anchor cable of high slope and construction of new one on slope stability in the highway widening project,a numerical model was established to analyze the impact based on Xiamen Xiang'an Airport Expressway project. The optimal timing of removing anchor cables and con-structing new one was proposed.Research has shown that the excavation and unloading of the soil around the anchor cable causes displacement of the retaining wall towards the slope with the distance between the excavation bottom of the newly built slope and the pre-stress cable getting closer and closer, which cause the release of the prestressed part and the gradual relaxation of the axial force in the anchoring section;According to changes in the displacement of the retaining wall, the timing of anchor cable removal will be determined. The research can provide reference for similar high slope widening projects.
