Research on Riding Quality of Fast and Slow Branches on Non Motorized Lanes of Urban Roads
In order to further improve the riding quality of non motorized lane and assist the development of slow traffic,a cycling quality evaluation model was established by analytical hierarchy process from perspectives of ser-vice level, operational efficiency, and safety in this article.Research has shown that electric bicycles in the branch state have higher operating efficiency and more concentrated running speed compared with the one in mixed state. The running speed of bicycles is slightly lower than that in the mixed state, but operates more smoothly; In the fast and slow branches state, both electric bicycles and bicycles are in a free driving state with high safety.Finally,rid-ing quality of Chongwenmen Outer Street in Beijing was evaluated. The conclusion is that the riding quality level was improved from good to excellent, with a score increase of 55.04%after adopting reasonable measures for fast and slow branches. It is believed that the traffic organization of non motorized lane fast and slow branches is applicable to Chongwenmen Outer Street. This research result can provide a theoretical basis for the design of non motorized lanes in fast and slow branches to create safe and efficient cycling environment.
