Effect of Recycled Aggregate on Working and Rheological Properties of SCC
In order to study the effect of recycled aggregate on working and rheological properties of self-compacting concrete(SCC),recycled brick powder and recycled aggregates replaced cement and natural aggregate respectively for SCC.Under different replacing rates(1%,2.5%,5%)of recycled brick powder,the working and rheological prop-erties of SCC were studied;The replacing rates of recycled coarse aggregates(15%,30%,50%)and pre-wetting time(0,2,24 h)on SCC were studied;The types(recycled fine aggregates of concrete,clay brick,mixed),replacing rates(25%,50%,75%,100%)and pre-wetting time(0,2,24h)on SCC were studied.The results show that the effect sequence on working properties of SCC is recycled fine aggregates of clay brick,mixed and concrete from high to low;The working properties of SCC decreases with the increase of replacing rates of these three recycled fine aggregates.The yield stress and plastic viscosity increase namely rheological properties are enhanced;Under the same replacing rate,the longer the prewetting time,the lower the working properties of recycled fine aggregate.The optimal working properties of the recycled coarse aggregate occurs at 2 h.The study improves the application & promotion of SCC.
