Automatic Simplification of Drainage Network with Data Protection Function
During the hydraulic modeling process of urban drainage network,network simplification is necessary to improve the simulation efficiency.In order to solve the problems of low automation and destruction of original net-work data for current network simplification technology,a drainage network automatic simplification technology with data protection function was designed.By introducing simplified status identification of network elements,the ap-propriate simplified feature fields were extended to describe the topological relationship of simplified node,pipeline and subcatchment area.Based on breadth-first traversal,the branch pipe trimming and serial pipes were merged with the same attribute so that the network can be simplified automatically under the condition of protecting the orig-inal data.The feasibility of this method was verified by a practical case.The results show that the the hydraulic sim-ulation results of the networks before and after simplification is smaller and the simulation time can be compressed to about 5.5%of the original network model.
