Application Design of Steam Accumulator in THP Anaerobic Digestion Process of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant
Under increasingly strict environmental requirements,thermal hydrolysis process(THP)of anaerobic di-gestion has become one of the ways to realize the reduction,stabilization,harmlessness,resource utilization of mu-nicipal sludge.Cambi THP is the most mature process in global engineering application.Due to the sequential batch reaction mechanism,there are large fluctuations in the load of the steam system,which will cause unstable boiler loads and possible boiler failures.A sludge treatment center combined heat and power(CHP)project in Beijing is taken as an example to solve the CHP system steam load fluctuations and fluctuations in gas production from the steam source.The theoretical heat storage capacity and volume of the steam accumulator are calculated by three methods.A comprehensive comparison is made to determine the design of the steam accumulator volume of 200 m3.The application of steam accumulator can improve boiler operating condition,enhance the thermal efficiency of boiler operation and steam quality,equalize the steam load and the stability of THP.The steam accumulator appli-cation design of Beijing municipal sewage treatment plant can provide new solutions for the operational problems and energy-saving design caused by steam fluctuations.
