Stability Analysis of Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Fly Ash Slope in Landfill
At present, sanitary landfill is still the mainstream technology for the disposal of municipal solid waste in-cineration(MSWI)fly ash in China. However, very little research on the soil mechanical properties of fly ash has been conducted, which is not conducive to guiding fly ash landfill operations. Therefore, the soil mechanical prop-erties of fly ash from a landfill site in southern China were tested.First, the stress field and deformation field of the fly ash slope after incremental layering were analyzed by the Sigma/w module of the geotechnical engineering analy-sis software Geo-Studio;Then,the stress field and deformation field obtained by Sigma/w module were input into the Slope/w module to obtain the stability safety factor; Finally, the stability safety factors of the fly ash slope were analyzed under different slope ratios and different stacking heights. The corresponding landfill capacities were cal-culated.The results indicate that the fly ash stabilized by chelating agent can be classified as poorly graded sand; The internal horizontal stress and vertical stress of fly ash slope increase with the increase of depth. The effect of horizontal stress on vertical stress increases with the increase of slope.Designing fly ash slope with actual strength parameters can significantly increase the effective storage capacity of reservoir area.
