Study on the Influence of Reinforcement Layout on the Flexural Performance of Wet-joints of T Beams
In order to investigate the flexural performance of wet joints with different layout forms of reinforcement, the finite element models were established for prefabricated assembled specimens with circular reinforcement non-overlap(CRNL),circular reinforcement with overlap(CRL),linear reinforcement with overlap(LRL)at wet joints,as well as for cast-in-place(CIP)specimens.Based on the finite element simulation results, the influence of different reinforcement arrangements on the flexural performance of wet joints of T beams was analyzed. The results show that:1)The damage and failure processes of all specimens are similar, but the damage areas in precast assembled specimens are concentrated at the interface of the wet joint and the prefabricated section due to the presence of wet joints.2)The load-deflection curves of CRNL,CRL,and LRL specimens are similar.Because the reinforcement ratio at the wet joints are higher than that in the CIP specimen, the cracking load, steel yield load and ultimate load are higher than CIP specimen.3)The results obtained from theoretical calculations and finite element simulations are quite same. The finite element model can effectively simulate the flexural performance of T beams with wet joints under different reinforcement arrangements.
