Calculation of Carbon Emission at the Materialization Stage of Road Engineering Based on LCA
Under the background of"carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals",road is one of the important sources of carbon emission in China.It is of great significance to determine the main contributing sources of carbon emission in the materialization phase of the road project.Therefore,the current research status of carbon emission in the ma-terialization phase of roads is reviewed.All life cycle assessment(LCA)and carbon emission of roads are innovative combined to analyze the Changting Road Improvement Project in Fenghua District,Ningbo City,Zhejiang Province.By adopting the carbon emission factor method,combined with the actual material dosage of the project and engineering drawings,the total carbon emission of the whole project's physical phase is calculated to be 36 418 651.37 kgCO2e;The total carbon emission of the material production is 33 146 776.91 kgCO2e,which accounts for 91%of the total carbon emission of the whole project's physical phase.The main sources of carbon emissions in the material produc-tion and transportation stage are roadbed materials,concrete,cement,steel and so on.Among them,the roadbed material has the highest carbon emission,which is 24 094 956.02 kgCO2e accounting for 69.81%of the total carbon emission;The axial flow ventilator has the highest carbon emission in the construction stage,accounting for 24.94%of the total carbon emission.Therefore,it is considered that roadbed materials and axial flow ventilators have great potential for emission reduction.
