Study on Bending Behavior of Connection Points of Biodegradable Bamboo Pole Soil Nails
With the promotion of green building concepts,bamboo has received widespread attention from industry researchers as biodegradable green building materials.When bamboo poles are used as soil nails,the connection form between bamboo pole segments is the key factor affecting the structural performance.Therefore,a connection form of bamboo pole soil nail was designed.The bending behavior of bamboo pole and bamboo pole connection points was studied by four point bending test and the bending failure mode and formation reasons were summarized.The research results show that the failure loads of the connection points were 25.79 kN and 41.78 kN respectively,and the bending behavior of the points was better than that of bamboo poles.The initial failure position of the bamboo pole was between the two loading points,and the initial failure position of the bamboo pole connection point was outside the connection point,which did not cause any damage to the connection point.The integrity and good me-chanical properties of the connection point were further verified,indicating that the structural design of the point is safe and reliable.This research result can provide experimental basis for the application of bamboo pole soil nails in practical engineering in the future.
