Research on the Relationship Between Performance Assessment of Municipal Engineering Projects and ESG Evaluation of Enterprises
As more and more global attention was paid to environmental protection and social responsibility,it has become particularly crucial to ensure the sustainable development of large municipal engineering projects. These projects have large scale and high technical requirements, which not only profoundly impact on the environment and society but also pose significant challenges to the sustainable development of enterprises and their public image. This study explores the relationship between the performance evaluation of large complex municipal engineering projects and the environmental, social, and governance(ESG)evaluation of enterprises using partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM).The data analysis results indicate that improvements in the environmental performance dimension of enterprises have a significant positive impact on the ecological benefits, stakeholders satisfaction, and schedule performance of municipal engineering projects;Additionally, optimization of social performance signifi-cantly enhances the performance of municipal projects in terms of social benefits, innovativeness, and safety perfor-mance;Strong corporate governance performance plays a key role in improvements in four critical performance areas of process control, stakeholders satisfaction, ecological benefits, and innovativeness, providing an optimized path-way for the formulation of future sustainable development strategies for enterprises.
