Application of Frequency Conversion Technology in Energy Saving and Consumption Reduction of Sewage Pumping Station Under the Background of Carbon Emission Reduction
The application of sewage pumping stations in the management of urban water environment has increased by the acceleration of urbanization,while also causing energy consumption and challenging the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in drainage systems.Taking a pumping station in Guangzhou as an example,this paper ex-plores the application effects of variable frequency technology in energy saving,consumption reduction,and pollu-tion and carbon emission reduction at pumping station.By systematically analyzing the operational data of the pump-ing station before and after the variable frequency technology transformation,it was found that variable frequency technology can effectively solve the cyclical fluctuations in influent flow,stable control the pumping station's oper-ating water level,and significantly improve the operational efficiency of the pumping station.The transformation with variable frequency technology significantly reduced the energy consumption of the pumping station,with the electricity consumption per ton of water dropping from 0.125 kW·h to 0.113 kW·h,a year-on-year reduction of 7.3%in annual electricity consumption,annually electricity saving up to 420 000 kW h,and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 267.9 tCO2 annually;The water quality in the front pool showed a significant im-provement trend;The operating water level of the pumping station was stably controlled within the normal range,with an average annual water level reduction of 15.6%than the previous year.This indicates that the application of variable frequency technology can effectively achieve energy saving and consumption reduction at pumping station,aiding the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in drainage systems.It is recommended to promote the appli-cation of frequency conversion technology in sewage pumping station,combined with automated control systems,to achieve the automation and intelligent operation of pumping stations.This will further optimize energy efficiency and support the green and low-carbon development of the entire wastewater treatment industry.
