Numerical Simulation and Monitoring Analysis of Deep Foundation Pit Excavation in Alluvial Strata of Yellow River
Taking the excavation of deep foundation pits and support engineering of the shield shaft of the Huanggang Road Tunnel project in Jinan City,Shandong Province as an example,Midas(GTS/NX)software was applied to con-duct numerical simulations and analyses on horizontal displacement, vertical deformation, the surface settlement and the axial force of the supporting structure during the excavation. The simulation analysis was verified to be ef-fective by comparing with monitoring data. The comparison results show that the diaphragm wall's maximum hori-zontal displacement is(0.90±0.47)times of the excavation depth; The farther the distance from the pit,the smaller the horizontal displacement. The deeper the excavation depth, the greater the horizontal displacement,as well as the vertical displacement of the diaphragm wall;At the edge of the deep foundation pit,the greatest surface settle-ment is attained, which reduces with the increases of distance from the foundation pit;The supporting axial force is aligned with the supporting axis. With the continual excavation of the foundation pit and the gradually erection of the support, the axial force of the support gradually rises, reaching a peak of 9 833 kN;After the erection of support, the deformation of the diaphragm wall and surrounding soil is reduced; The measured data are close to the simulated analysis data, which verified the simulation analysis's validity.
