Aiming at the dilemma faced by business English teaching in application-oriented colleges and universi-ties,combined with the professional talent training goal,this paper expounds the necessity of integrating EGP tea-ching with skill-oriented EOP teaching.Based on the analysis of the requirements of"the Belt and Road"initiative on the quality and level of business English applied talents,this paper puts forward suggestions on the implementa-tion of the integrated teaching of EGP and EOP under the background of"the Belt and Road",including the con-struction of teachers,teaching materials and teaching to serve"the Belt and Road"strategy,and encourages students to actively participate in various competitions related to"the Belt and Road".It provides reference for application-o-riented universities to cultivate high-quality business English professionals with international vision and international communication ability.
