Founded in November 1917,Peking University Daily is the result of President Cai Yuanpei's promotion of education reform in Peking University as well as a tool for teachers and students to communicate on campus.Peking University Daily was founded under the principle of ＂communication between superiors and subordinates＂and un-derwent restructuring and adjustment on February 8th,1918,completing the transformation from a chronicle gazette to a modern university newspaper.Not only does Peking University Daily focus on and present the development and changes of campus culture at Peking University,but it also serves as a physical entity embedded within it,participa-ting in the construction and dissemination of campus culture.
