An Overview of Research on William Gibson's Cyberpunk Novels
In order to further clarify the research focus in the field of science fiction,this paper starts from William Gibson,a famous writer in the field of American science fiction literature,and summarizes the cyberpunk genre,Wil-liam Gibson as well as his works and the research status in related fields.Gibson's work began in the late 20th cen-tury,and his cyberpunk novels occupy an important position in the history of science fiction literature.So far,Gib-son's work has gained wide acceptance around the world.By combing through the research status of William Gib-son's novels at home and abroad in the past half century,this paper shows the achievements of science fiction litera-ture in many frontier fields,while also to some extent revealing the research gaps therein.
