Impact of Exercise Interventions on Social Communication in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder:A Meta-analysis
To investigate the impact of exercise interventions on the social communication of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD),a Meta-analysis was conducted.Twelve studies meeting the inclusion criteria were selec-ted from eight major databases, involving a total of 435 children with ASD.The analysis revealed significant diffe-rences in the effectiveness of different exercise intervention programs. The overall effect size was-0.54(95%CI:[-1.19,0.11]);although the results did not reach statistical significance(Z=1.63,P=0.10),subgroup a-nalysis indicated that group programs and long-term exercise interventions positively impacted the social communica-tion abilities of children with ASD;in contrast, individual interventions,short-term,and high-frequency interventions showed no significant effects.
