Habitat Suitability Assessment of Pucrasia Macrolopha Based on Infrared Camera Technology and MaxEnt Modeling in Tianma National Nature Reserve,Anhui Province
Determining the suitable habitat distribution of wild animals and its influencing factors is a crucial foun-dation for the effective conservation and management of species and their habitats. This study is based on the de-ployment of 240 infrared cameras in Tianma National Nature Reserve from August 2022 to July 2023 to monitor Pu-crasia macrolopha. It identified 44 distribution sites of Pucrasia macrolopha and employed 14 environmental factors to construct a MaxEnt model for evaluating and analyzing habitat suitability within the reserve. The results show, first, the suitable habitat area of Pucrasia macrolopha in the reserve is 59.46 km2,and the sub-suitable habitat area is 145.29 km2,mainly located in the south of Mazongling and the north of Tiantangzhai;Second, the suitability of Pucrasia macrolopha is significantly influenced by climate and anthropogenic disturbance factors, with suitable habi-tats characterized by an average temperature during the coldest season of temperature below 2.5 ℃ and located a-way from residential areas.Based on field surveys and model prediction results,it is shown that the suitable habitat area for Pucrasia macrolopha in the reserve is large and of high quality, and Pucrasia macrolopha is more sensitive to climate factor and human interference factor. In order to mitigate the degradation of the habitat in the reserve,pro-tection suggestions were put forward to control human interference, carry out regular monitoring and plan ecological corridors.
