Abstract
The integration of AI into university library drives the transformation and development of librarians'pro-fessions.This paper summarizes the professional present situation in the context of AI Era,which are the intensifica-tion of librarians'professional marginalization,the lack of AI skills among librarians,and the sense of crisis regard-ing the replacement of librarians'positions by AI.It also explores the career development paths of university librari-ans under the empowerment of AI,which include the career development opportunities,the professional transforma-tion and positioning and the cultivation of professional abilities for university librarians in the AI era.Finally,it points out librarians need to balance the relationship between AI and librarians'professional landscape,AI and li-brarians'professional spirit,AI technology-driven and reader demand-driven,and individual and group librarians in the career development of the librarians in the AI era.Librarians should use AI technology as a boost,be guided by reader needs,led by professional spirit,and focus on librarians'career development as the main line,to enhance their professional abilities and adaptability,expand career development directions,and explore the professional value of librarians under new business models.
