Comprehensive pollution risk analysis of oil spill accidents in Jingjiang multi-wharf development section based on EFDC model
Based on the environmental fluid dynamics code(EFDC)model, the oil film drift paths under the oil spill accidents at six wharfs in Jingjiang development section of the Yangtze River were simulated.A method for oil spill pollution risk assessment was developed, and the pollution risk index distributions of multi-wharf oil spill incidents and the comprehensive pollution risk index for the protected area were calculated. The results indicate that the location of the wharfs and the surrounding flow field significantly affect the drift paths of oil film. The oil film caused by oil spill accidents in a rapid flow area exhibits a fast peak migration speed and a large impact distance, while the oil film caused by spill accidents in a slow flow area demonstrates significant aggregation and a prolonged impact duration.Pollution risks induced by multi-wharf oil spill incidents are mainly distributed in overlapping areas of oil film paths, and a high pollution risk zone forms from the middle to the end of the downstream of the development section, with a comprehensive pollution risk index of approximately 1.6.The risk zone mainly affects the W1 protected area, and emergency prevention measures should be taken in advance in high risk areas.
