Research progress of autophagy in pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome
Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a common clinical female endocrine disease, which is one of the causes of female infertility and affects many aspects of female health. At present, there is still no definite conclusion on the pathogenesis of this disease. As an evolutionarily conserved and highly regulated catabolic process, autophagy can affect follicle growth and regulate endometrial function, and is closely related to endocrine and metabolic disorders such as hyperandrogenemia, insulin resistance, obesity, chronic inflammation and oxidative stress in PCOS.In this paper, the studies on autophagy in the pathogenesis of PCOS reported in recent years were reviewed,in order to provide new ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of PCOS,infertility and other reproductive diseases.
