Shen Shushi was a virtuous minister of the State of Chu in the middle of the mid-Spring and Autumn Period.He not only explained the profound and specific educational ideas,but also had relatively unique military thoughts,which are mainly reflected in three aspects:first,the outlook on war with comprehensive understanding;second,making specific divisions and launching practical interpretations of the key factors and means concerning the success or failure of the war in six kinds of"warring wares";third,laying stress on the relationship between long-term waring and military logistics and attaching importance to the fundamental role of the economy and the people in the military struggle.On the whole,some of Shen Shushi's military thoughts should be regarded as a pioneer of the systemic military theory for the later generations.
