Tonifying kidney and activating blood traditional Chinese drugs combined with gestrinone for postoperative treatment of endometriosis:a systematic review and meta-analysis
Objective:To explore the efficacy and the safety of tonifying kidney and activating blood traditional Chinese drugs combined with gestrinone for postoperative treatment of endometriosis by using meta-analysis.Methods:CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM,PubMed,Embase and Web of Science were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)about postoperative treatment of endometriosis with tonifying kidney and activating blood Chinese drugs combined with gestrinone from establishment to November 2022.All included researches were assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration's tool for assessing risk of bias and the modified Jadad Scale.The meta-analysis for all studies was conducted using RevMan 5.4.1.Results:Totally 7 RCTs were included,involving 816 patients.Results of the meta-analysis showed that the efficiency of treatment[OR=2.35,95％CI(1.47,3.77),P＜0.000 4]and the pregnancy rate[OR=2.34,95％CI(1.62,3.38),P＜0.000 01]of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group.The recurrence rate[OR=0.38,95％CI(0.24,0.59),P＜0.000 1]as well as the levels of FSH[mean difference(MD)=-1.53,95％CI(-1.87,-1.20),P＜0.000 01],CA125[MD=-13.53,95％CI(一16.78,-10.28),P＜0.000 01]and LH[MD=-1.64,95％CI(-1.86,-1.42),P＜0.000 01]were significantly lower than those of the control group.But the rate of total adverse reactions and the level of estradiol showed no statistically significant differences between the two groups.Conclusions:Postoperative treatment of endometriosis with tonifying kidney and activating blood traditional Chinese drugs combined with gestrinone has better efficacy and higher pregnancy rate as well as lower recurrent rate.Higher quality RCTs are needed for the limitation of the number and quality of this study.
