Summary of mechanisms under telomere-nuclear attachment in meiosis of germ cells
Germ cells produce gametes through meiosis, and the telomere-nuclear envelop(NE)attachment is the prerequisite for this vital physiological process. The proteins interact with each other to ensure the telomere-NE attachment and facilitate proper chromosome pairing, synapsis and homologous recombination during meiosis prophase I.In this paper,we will summarize findings about structures and functions of telomere-NE attachment related proteins and their complex, including Shelterin complex, meiosis specific linker of the nucleoskeleton and cytoskeleton complex(LINC),inner membrane related TERB1-TERB2-MAJIN(TTM)complex,and the SPDYA-CDK2 complex.
