Progress in the study of reproductive tract microbiota in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion
Recurrent spontaneous abortion is a common adverse pregnancy outcome in women of childbearing age, with a complex etiology and an unknown cause of disease in nearly half of patients. An increasing number of studies have focused on the association between microbiota and recurrent spontaneous abortion.Several studies have shown that the overall diversity of reproductive tract microbiota, the abundance of specific communities, and altered community structure are strongly associated with recurrent spontaneous abortion, but research on their mechanisms and treatment is relatively limited. In this paper,we will review the studies on the relationship between reproductive tract microbiota and recurrent spontaneous abortion, with a view to providing new ideas for the study and clinical treatment of recurrent spontaneous abortion.
