Comparison of the application of domestic and imported cetrorelix in antagonist protocol
Objective:To compare the efficacy and clinical pregnancy outcomes of using domestic and imported cetrorelix as an antagonist protocol for IVF-ET.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 171 oocyte retrieval cycles using an antagonist protocol for IVF-ET in the Department of Reproductive Medicine of our hospital from October 2022 to July 2023.According to the different types of medication used,the patients were divided into two groups as the domestic group(41 cycles)and the imported group(130 cycles).The general characteristics,ovulation induction,embryonic development,and clinical pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were compared.Results:There were no significant differences in general characteristics such as age,years of infertility,body mass index(BMI),anti-Miillerian hormone(AMH),and basal hormone levels between the two groups(P＞0.05).There were also no significant differences between the two groups in terms of Gn dosage,the duration of Gn use,GnRH antagonist dosage,different trigger ratios,hormone levels and endometrial thickness on HCG day,OHSS incidence rate,oocytes retrieval rate,≥10 U/L and＞17 U/L of LH ratio on HCG day(P＞0.05).However,the cost of GnRH antagonist in the domestic group was significantly lower than that in the imported group(P＜0.05).The MⅡ oocytes rate in the domestic group was significantly lower than that in the imported group(P＜0.05),but there were no significant differences in the fertilization rate,2PN rate,the cleavage rate,high-quality embryo rate,high-quality embryo sac formation rate,and HCG positive rate,clinical pregnancy rate as well as early miscarriage rate after fresh embryo transfer between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:In the antagonist protocol,the use of domestic and imported cetrorelix has a similar inhibitory effect on early-onset LH peaks,and there are satisfactory clinical pregnancy outcomes in the two groups.Moreover,the total cost of domestic cetrorelix is relatively low,especial drug costs.
