Abstract
The teaching of English writing in higher vocational schools faces challenges such as insufficient teaching staff,limited teaching resources,weak foundational skills among students,outdated teaching methods,and a restricted teaching evaluation system.The assistance function of AI language models offers opportunities for English teaching in higher vocational education,helping to alleviate the dilemmas in English teaching by providing learners with abundant learning resources,authentic language environments,personalized writing suggestions,immediate writing feedback,and sustainable teaching support.At the same time,it also presents challenges for English writing instruction.Students and teachers must adapt to these challenges and make full use of the auxiliary functions of AI language models to enhance teaching effectiveness.
