Redefining Shenzhen's Literary Position:A Literary Writing for Constructing New Urban History and Contemporary Literary Ecology
This study reexamines Shenzhen's position in China's literary landscape within the context of Reform and Opening-up.Through diachronic analysis,Shenzhen's literary development can be traced through four distinct phases:emergence, development, integration, and transformation. Each phase exhibits unique characteristics while documenting and participating in Shenzhen's urban evolution.A synchronic comparison with the literary traditions of Beijing,Shanghai, and Guangzhou reveals Shenzhen's distinctive character.Among China's four major metropolitan centers(Beijing-Shanghai-Guangzhou-Shenzhen),Shenzhen literature is unique in its lack of traditional urban literary heritage. However, this distinctiveness has enabled it to actively shape contemporary Chinese literary ecology with fresh vitality, enriching and transforming China's literary landscape in novel ways.
