Lotus is regarded as a symbol of Buddha in Buddhism.Lotus pattern,also known as lotus pattern or lotus petal pattern,is one of the most representative plant patterns in traditional Chinese decorative patterns.During the Tang Dynasty,Changsha Kiln pioneered the technique of underglaze colored porcelain,which stood out in the mainstream art of"depicting the spirit with form"due to its bold brushstrokes and elegant development.This article takes the lotus pattern on the Tang Dynasty Changsha Kiln ceramics as the research object,elaborates on the origin and metaphorical meaning of the pattern,reveals the aesthetic value of Changsha Kiln lotus pattern and the spiritual enjoyment it brings to people.
