Based on a feldspar glaze composed of feldspar, quartz, kaolin, talcum, limestone, and bone ash, using ferric oxide as the colorant,an iron red oil-drop glaze fired in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1270℃ was developed. The effect of the glaze formula composition on the glaze surface of the iron red oil-drop glaze was explored through single-factor experiments. The results indicate that a suitable composition of raw materials is of crucial importance for the coloration of the iron red oil-drop glaze.Specifically, when the content of talc is 1.5%,the content of bone ash is 9%,the content of limestone is 6.5%,and the content of ferric oxide is 10%,the prepared iron red oil-drop glaze has a color temperature of approximately 2000K,with a high saturation and a low hue angle, and the glaze color tends to be warm.
