Review and Discussion on Design Principles of Main Control Indexes in Railway Subgrade Design
To ensure the safety and stability of the railroad foundation,it is generally necessary to satisfy the design requirements for foundation bearing capacity, subgrade stability, and post-construction settlement. However, there is currently no consensus on whether foundation bearing capacity needs to be verified and checked. For this reason,a finite element model of a railway subgrade is established using the ABAQUS software and taking into account factors such as foundation soil properties, foundation slope, subgrade soil properties, subgrade slope, and subgrade fill height.Through quantitative analysis, this study explores the necessity of verifying the foundation bearing capacity and analyzes the influence laws of different factors on the foundation bearing capacity, subgrade stability, and post-construction settlement. The research findings indicate that the foundation bearing capacity should be considered in the design of railway subgrade and verified along with the subgrade stability and post-construction settlement. The magnitude of the foundation bearing capacity is closely related to factors such as foundation soil properties, subgrade soil properties, and subgrade height. Therefore, the calculation of the foundation's bearing capacity in railway subgrade design needs to be determined comprehensively, considering factors such as foundation soil properties, subgrade soil properties, and embankment height. Therefore,in the design of railway subgrade, the calculation of foundation bearing capacity needs to be determined comprehensively based on factors such as foundation soil properties, subgrade soil properties, and subgrade height. The significance of different factors on the foundation bearing capacity, subgrade stability, and post-construction settlement varies. The order of significance for the foundation bearing capacity is arranged as the following:foundation soil properties>subgrade height>subgrade soil properties>subgrade slope>foundation slope. The order of significance for subgrade stability is shown as the following:foundation soil properties>subgrade slope>subgrade soil properties>subgrade height>foundation slope. The order of significance for post-construction settlement is indicated as following:foundation soil properties>subgrade soil properties>subgrade height>foundation slope>subgrade slope. The research findings can provide references for the design of ballasted high-speed railway subgrade.
