Experimental Study on Braking Performance of the Hydraulic Brake Caliper with Large Braking Force
In order to meet the requirements of small installation space, large braking deceleration and fast braking response of the low floor tram braking system of urban rail transit, the hydraulic braking system is designed and used, and the hydraulic brake caliper with large braking force is developed according to the braking calculation requirements with compact structure and high energy density. After the production and assembly of the brake caliper, the routine test and type test were carried out,and the test results met the system design index. In order to approve the braking performance of the brake caliper when it is officially put into operation after loading, the 1∶1 brake test bench is selected for dynamic test.Under different speed levels and different output force conditions, related parameters are analyzed such as the brake torque of the brake caliper, the average maximum temperature of the brake disc, the average friction coefficient, the brake speed, the brake deceleration and other key parameters affecting the braking performance. The results show that the braking performance of the brake caliper is stable under various working conditions and meets the requirements of vehicle operation.
