Research on Prolonging Maintenance Cycle of Urban Rail Vehicles
This paper presents a method to carry out research about maintenance cycle extension for urban rail vehicles by means of RCM(Reliability Centered Maintenance)analysis and exploration test.Firstly, the maintenance items were screened by means of procedure structuring, fault impact assessment and reliability modeling calculation, and then the exploration tests of daily inspection, periodical maintenance and intermediate repair were designed and carried out. From the test results,it is found that after the inspection interval extended from 2 days to 4 days, the failure rate of trains per 10,000 kilometers is in a flat state. After the periodical maintenance is extended from 150,000 km to 200,000 km,the failure rate is at the same level as before, and the main wear parts meet the requirements of operation specifications. After the intermediate repair was extended from 600,000 km to 700,000 km,the functional degradation characteristics of the restriction items met the requirements. The research conclusion effectively supports the optimal setting of repair process and has important significance for reducing the maintenance cost of vehicle life cycle.
