Vibration reduction program and effectiveness verification of the main air supply units on urban rail vehicles
In order to overcome the high floor vibration above the installation point of the piston type main air sup-ply unit used in the braking system for the earlier metro project in a city,an oil-lubricated screw type main air supply unit is selected in the initial design stage of the new project.By analyzing the suspension structure of the main air supply unit and combining the performance characteristics of commonly used vibration reduction measures in rail transit industry, this paper systematically explores and summarizes the layout and design selection principles of vibration dampers for the main air supply unit on urban rail vehicles. With the help of finite element simulation and real vehicle testing, the effectiveness of the vibration reduction scheme for this project is verified, hoping to im-prove the abnormal floor vibration of the vehicle for the early stage of the project.Research results show that the vi-bration reduction scheme for the oil-lubricated screw type main air supply unit significantly reduces the vibration transmission of the unit, and the vibration acceleration at the suspension installation point of the main air supply u-nit and the vehicle floor keeps at a low level(<0.315 m/s2).
