Research of the Standardized Use of Unarmed Force in Police Law Enforcement
In the process of police law enforcement,unarmed force is a commonly-used and important coercive means to deal with violent and dangerous activities,featured with timeliness and convenience.However,the excessive or improper use of unarmed force may cause the casualties of police officers,or the public controversy about the infringing civil legitimate rights and interests.Therefore,it is necessary to establish the normalization for the use of unarmed force and standardize the operational procedure.From the perspective of legality and rationality,it analyzes the abuses of unarmed force in current police law enforcement practice,the ignorance of use conditions,the lack of experience and skills,the public opinion crisis caused by improper use of force,etc.It suggests reinforcing the regulation,enhancing the police capability to handle the case on the spot,emphasizing the training and improving the management of network public opinions.Thus,it provides suggestions for law enforcement practice in properly using the unarmed force,protecting personnel's security and people's legitimate rights and interests,timely and effectively deterring the crime,and maintaining the public security and social orders.
