Railway is the strategic,leading and key infrastructure which serves and promotes the new urbanization.Meanwhile,the changes in spatial pattern and travel demand brought about by deepening new urbanization have further promoted the integration and development of multi-level railway transportation and it has become one of the important ways to promote the high-quality develop-ment of urban agglomerations.At present,the development of intercity railways,suburban railways and urban rail transit in major ur-ban agglomerations in China is relatively good,especially the urban agglomerations represented by Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta,Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao have actively explored the integration and development of multi-level railway transpor-tation.Based on the perspective of national railway,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the integration and development of multi-level railway transportation in China from four aspects:integration of infrastructure,integration of operation and service,coor-dination of operation and management,and matching of policy support,and puts forward the experience of multi-level railway trans-portation integration and development in Japan,European Union and other countries and regions to help promote the high-quality de-velopment of multi-level railway transportation in urban agglomerations.
