Influence of Burial Depth and Soil and Water Content on Shear Strength of Loose Rock Piles
In response to the problem that weak shear forces in loose rock piles can cause serious natural disasters such as landslides and collapses, the similarity theory was applied, with quartz sand as the basic rock block and cohesive soil as the filling soil, and similar materials were configured.Different filling soil contents and moisture contents were controlled separately, and triaxial tests were conducted. The influence of the content and moisture content of filling soil at different burial depths on the shear strength of loose rock piles was studied. The results show that the content and moisture content of the filling soil are key influencing factors on the biting force and internal friction angle of loose rock piles, and the biting force is more affected. The water in the filling plays a weakening role in the shear force of loose rock piles. The shear force of rock piles increases with the increase of burial depth, and different burial depths have the same optimal filling soil content and moisture content.Under the condition of constant soil density, the shear strength and burial depth exhibit a linear function relationship.
