Compaction Performance of Emulsified Asphalt Concrete for Repairing Waterproof Layer of High Speed Railway Bridge Deck
In order to explore the waterproof and mechanical performance of emulsified asphalt concrete used for freeze-thaw powdering repair of high speed railway bridge deck waterproof layer, considering the skylight maintenance conditions of ballastless track, the waterproofing, splitting strength,freeze-thaw resistance, and strength development law of emulsified asphalt concrete with heavy compaction, light compaction, and free compaction were analyzed. The results show that when reaching the same compaction state, the liquid dosage of light compacted and free compacted specimens is higher than that of heavy compacted specimens. The porosity of the free compacted specimens is slightly higher than that of light and heavy compacted specimens. The fine and intermediate gradation of free compacted specimens have good waterproofing performance, while the coarse gradation has poor waterproofing performance. The Marshall stability of free compacted specimens is lower than that of heavy and light compacted specimens, but the splitting strength and freeze-thaw strength are greater than those of heavy and light compacted specimens. The water loss rate of free compacted specimens is lower than that of heavy and light compacted specimens, especially in the early stage of curing. The heavy and light compacted specimens are cured for 1 day to meet the normal vehicle load requirements, while free compacted specimens meet the requirements for bearing pedestrian loads after 3 days of curing and normal vehicle load requirements after 5 days of curing.
